An online seminar comparing the current state of African markets with Japan’s late high-growth period and explaining the phase of consumer-market development in each country and winning strategies for market entry will be held free of charge on 9 September.
株式会社クロス・マーケティング will hold a free online seminar on 9 September from 14:00, explaining the current state of African markets and the characteristics of consumer markets that resemble those of Japan’s late high-growth period. The seminar will be held via Zoom and requires advance registration.
The seminar will examine “why Africa now?” through macro indicators including demographics, urbanization, the middle class and payment infrastructure. It will also cover key aspects of market structure directly relevant to entering local markets, including retail distribution structures, the competitive landscape among FMCG players, the role of agents and distributors, and local perceptions of Japanese brands.
In addition, drawing on examples of Japanese companies, the seminar will identify a common winning strategy: securing market access and speed through capital alliances with local companies. The speaker will be Kazama Yuki (風間 優希) of GLOBAL ANGLE, who will explain the market landscape with a focus on Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa.
