MIXI has adopted Databricks' Databricks Data+AI Platform as its company-wide data platform and announced plans to advance data integration and AI agent operations across the organisation. Rollout to all employees began in June, with the migration of Monster Strike's data platform accelerated through generative AI cited as one use case.
MIXI announced that it would adopt Databricks' “Databricks Data+AI Platform” as its enterprise data platform for data and AI. The aim is to establish an environment that enables company-wide data integration and the development and operation of AI applications, integrating and using capabilities including Genie, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, Lakeflow, Lakehouse and Unity Catalog.
MIXI operates a diverse range of businesses, including sports, lifestyle and digital entertainment, and aims to improve productivity and create business value through the integration of its data platforms and the use of AI. While the use of generative AI is advancing, the company identified the need to strengthen data access controls and governance while creating an environment in which employees can analyse data using natural language.
Company-wide rollout began in June this year, and validation and data preparation are under way in each business. The company cited the use of generative AI to accelerate the migration of Monster Strike's data platform and aims to build a company-wide platform that advances data integration and the use of AI in an integrated manner.
Going forward, MIXI plans to expand and enhance its data platform and promote an environment in which employees can query data in natural language and work with AI agents to make decisions. The company also plans to strengthen governance, including access controls and cost visibility, to achieve shorter TTM across the organisation.
