Shiga Bank and Senshu Ikeda Bank entered into an agreement with Marubeni and will establish a support framework to help client companies seeking to expand overseas receive preferential treatment on rent and management fees at local industrial parks.
Shiga Bank and Senshu Ikeda Bank announced that they would cooperate in supporting client companies considering expansion into overseas markets, including India and Southeast Asia. They entered into an agreement with Marubeni on the same day, establishing a framework under which companies can receive preferential treatment on management fees at overseas industrial parks. This will support companies' overseas expansion by providing local information and introducing industrial parks.
In addition to India, Marubeni develops and manages industrial parks in countries including Thailand and Vietnam. The three parties will use Marubeni's expertise to provide client companies with local information and guidance on industrial parks. Preferential treatment on rent and management fees could ease the cost burden on companies considering operations in these markets.
Shiga Bank has representative offices in Hong Kong, China and Thailand, while Senshu Ikeda Bank has offices in China and Vietnam. The banks plan to deepen cooperation among their overseas bases. The capital and business alliance was established in April. The parties had initially considered cooperation between Shiga Bank and Marubeni, but have now changed the policy to a three-party cooperation framework.
Going forward, the banks are expected to pursue expansion of their core lending and transaction businesses by supporting market development and labor-force recruitment by small and medium-sized companies seeking to expand overseas. Cooperation among their overseas bases is expected to further promote the overseas expansion of client companies.
