Data Section held a press briefing on its new AI platform TAIZA and new service TAIZA MATE. The briefing was attended by Representative Ishihara Norihiko (石原紀彦) and Chief Business Officer Scott Trowbridge, and included a special talk session with OpenAI Japan LLC.
Ishihara outlined “the democratization of intelligence” and the elimination of the digital deficit as the company’s new growth strategy. He explained that the company aims to build an ecosystem spanning AI infrastructure, models and applications through the adoption of TAIZA, leveraging a GPU as a Service platform. TAIZA features smart routing functionality that supports the automatic selection of AI models and more efficient inference processing, with the aim of optimizing costs.
TAIZA MATE is positioned not as a chat tool but as a workspace in which AI performs practical tasks. It supports the process from receiving requests in natural language through structuring tasks, managing their progress and creating deliverables. The company also explained how sharing context on a project basis, together with visualization, helps ensure traceability and governance.
The special talk session covered the current state of AI implementation at Japanese companies, data governance, safety measures, maximizing the user experience through OpenAI and TAIZA, business transformation using voice AI, and the global rollout of AI agents from Japan.
