Operating profit rose 69.4% to ¥15.7 billion, while net income increased 86.8% to ¥12.5 billion, securing substantial profit growth in both cases. Efforts to improve profitability bore fruit, with sales growth achieved across all segments.
By segment, Component Solutions is the core business. Against a backdrop of growing demand for industrial robots, sales in the business rose 23.6% to ¥45.5 billion, while operating profit surged 160.8% to ¥4.8 billion.
Transport Solutions benefited from increased demand for commercial aircraft and marine equipment, with sales rising 17.1% year on year to ¥54.4 billion. Operating profit also increased substantially.
The full-year consolidated earnings forecast was revised upward. Sales are projected at ¥344.0 billion, operating profit at ¥32.6 billion and net income at ¥24.1 billion.
