Toyo Asano revised its consolidated ordinary income forecast for the current fiscal year from a profit to a loss. The first-half forecast was also revised downward, from a projected profit to a loss.
On 25 August, Toyo Asano revised its consolidated ordinary income forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 downward, from a projected profit to a loss. Net income for the current fiscal year is also expected to swing to a loss, and the revision is substantial. The consolidated ordinary income forecast for the first half was likewise revised downward, from a projected profit to an expected loss.
The reasons for the revision include an unexpected decline in second-quarter net sales, a shortage of high-value-added projects, higher raw material prices, and a substantial downward revision to the gross profit margin due to project cancellations and postponements in the second half. As a result, full-year net sales are expected to fall approximately ¥2,000 million below the previous forecast.
