On 1 September 2026, Goodpatch completely revamped its corporate website and 15th-anniversary website to mark its 15th anniversary, and launched the 15th-anniversary website at the same time. Through an interview with FunTech, which handled the planning and production, the Web Designing editorial team provides details on the background to the large-scale project and its highlights.
FunTech is a digital creative collective operating under the banner “Supercraft & Branding Company.” CEO Ota Yoshitaka (太田 義孝) cites “enthusiasm” and a commitment to gaining a deep understanding of the client as factors behind Goodpatch’s eventual decision to select the company for the project. He says that the company’s repeated 4 rounds of interviews during the approximately 2-week proposal period, along with its sharing of Goodpatch’s business strategy and story, contributed to the positive evaluation.
The team explained that it selected the optimal AI for each stage of the process, carefully created the 3D models by hand, and implemented texture adjustments on the web. It combined models including Claude Code, Codex, GPT Image and Seedance, and is said to have completed the 2 websites in an implementation period of just under 3 months.
Highlights of the corporate website include an effect in which 3D visuals expand upon the first visit and the scroll-responsive 3D character “Patchy.” As an accessibility measure, a motion-stop button was introduced, with emphasis placed on the ability to stop motion in a WCAG-compliant manner.
