Asyad Group will hold the international maritime forum Muscat Maritime Resilience Forum 2026 in Muscat on 27 and 28 October 2026. The forum will be held in partnership with Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, and Oman Investment Authority. It will provide a forum for international discussion on the future of global trade and maritime routes.
Executives from leading companies and international organisations, academics and maritime experts will attend, examining common challenges facing the global shipping system and exploring practical solutions to strengthen supply-chain resilience and connectivity. Sessions will be led by private-sector leaders.
The forum’s agenda will focus on how resilient, interconnected maritime networks can support supply chains, businesses, markets and economies. Operational expertise and cross-sector cooperation will be required, with transport, ports, logistics, technology, insurance and markets working together to set out concrete next steps.
Abdulrahman Al Hatmi, head of engineering, said that the resilience of global trade depends on the strength of maritime networks and that Muscat would provide a platform for international experts to come together to address common challenges. As part of Oman’s economic diplomacy, the aim is for Muscat to become a hub for international maritime leaders.
