Duskin and Ikeda Police Station jointly held a crime-prevention seminar at the Ikeda Civic Forum. They introduced crime-prevention measures for everyday life based on the methods used in special fraud.
Osaka Prefecture and Duskin drew on their cooperative relationship to hold a crime-prevention seminar on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at Azalea Hall in Ikeda Civic Cultural Hall, organized by the Ikeda Crime Prevention Council and Ikeda Police Station. The civic forum was held to promote safety and security in the community, with the seminar presented as its second session.
Tamaki Kyoichi (玉置恭一), General Technical Manager of Duskin Rescue, gave a presentation introducing the methods used in the special fraud and malicious business practices that have increased in recent years. He explained to participants crime-prevention measures that can be implemented in daily life to prevent victimization.
The second session of the civic forum also included awards for people who had made outstanding contributions to crime-prevention activities, a comedy performance by Yarlens, who served as one-day police chief, and rakugo. It gave visitors an opportunity to learn about crime prevention while enjoying the event. The event's declaration and its aim of raising awareness of crime prevention throughout the community were also presented.
The event introduced the principles of the National Community Safety Campaign, “Working Together to Build Safe and Secure Communities,” and explained the aim of having local residents, municipalities, businesses and police work together to create a safe local community.
