A security event for female students at colleges of technology, co-hosted by NEC and the KOSEN Cybersecurity Education Promotion Center, was held on 17 and 18 September. The program included a tour of NEC's Head Office Reference Office, interaction with female engineers and a technical workshop using CTF.
The "2026 K-SEC CAMP FOR GIRLS," co-hosted by NEC and K-SEC, was held on 17 and 18 September for female students at colleges of technology. The program included a tour of NEC's Head Office Reference Office, career discussions with female engineers from the NEC Group and a technical workshop using CTF.
The event aimed to foster a community and information exchange among female students at colleges of technology, support career exploration through interaction with working female engineers, and improve security skills through practical exercises. NEC and the National Institute of Technology have promoted a comprehensive partnership since 2022, and the event was held again following last year.
Participants experienced NEC initiatives including its cybersecurity dashboard and digital ID. In the career sessions, students interacted at individual tables, while the CTF exercise challenged them with network and web-security problems.
Participants said the workshops and interaction had encouraged them to think positively about their future studies and careers. The support system provided by female engineers in the NEC Group was also well received.
