SANKO MARKETING FOODS announced that Hirabayashi Takahiro (平林隆広) is expected to be formally appointed Representative Director and President on 25 September 2026. At the same time, the Company will review its sixth-sector fisheries framework and shift to a new management policy focused on strengthening its restaurant business.
At its Board of Directors meeting on 14 August 2026, SANKO MARKETING FOODS is scheduled to formally decide that incumbent Representative Director and President Nagasawa Narihiro (長澤成博) will retire and that Hirabayashi Takahiro (平林隆広) will become Representative Director and President. The appointment is scheduled to take effect on 25 September 2026 and is expected to be formally decided by the Board of Directors meeting following the 50th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
Under the new management structure, the Company will conduct a comprehensive review of its sixth-sector fisheries business model. It will scale back and withdraw from maintaining its own supply chain within the Group, while pursuing greater efficiency through its partnerships and concentrating resources on its restaurant business.
Specifically, management resources will be directed primarily toward businesses including Akamaruya, government and public-sector cafeterias, and Udon 038. 綜合食品株式会社 will be positioned as the foundation of fisheries procurement, with the Company seeking to improve procurement capabilities, product capabilities, and store profitability.
In comments by the new president, the Company indicated its intention to make the restaurant business its core business on the occasion of its 50th anniversary and to pursue business selection and concentration aimed at generating sustainable profits while taking changes in the external environment into account.
The Company profile reconfirmed that it was founded in 1977 and has developed a broad range of businesses centered on restaurant management and the fisheries industry.
