Yamaha Motor announced consolidated operating profit of ¥235.2 billion for the nine months of the fiscal year ending December 2026, up 2.1 times year on year, compared with market consensus of ¥222.7 billion. The result reflected higher unit sales, price pass-through and lower selling, general and administrative expenses, as well as gains on the sale of fixed assets and foreign-exchange effects. The company maintained its full-year consolidated operating profit forecast at ¥260 billion, up 2.1 times year on year, and raised its annual dividend forecast to ¥60, with the year-end dividend increasing from ¥25 to ¥35.
Oji Holdings cut its consolidated operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from the previous ¥60 billion to ¥45 billion; first-half operating profit was ¥15.53 billion. The company expects a slower recovery in pulp market conditions and higher costs in its overseas business, as well as soaring raw material and fuel prices in its domestic business.
