GMOインターネット will establish a new GMO GPU Cloud site inside Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No. 1 in Ishikari City. Completion is scheduled for 27 March 2026, with service launch targeted for August of the same year.
GMOインターネット, 東急不動産 and ブロードバンドタワー will jointly establish a data center floor serving as a GMO GPU Cloud site at Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No. 1 in Ishikari City.
The site will use a data center powered by 100% renewable energy to meet growing demand for GPU cloud services for AI development. The initiative will focus on using locally produced and consumed electricity and reducing communications latency.
Completion is scheduled for 27 March 2026, with service launch targeted for 1 August 2026. The site will connect directly to NTT East’s IOWN APN and use electricity generated at power plants in Ishikari City to reduce its environmental impact. By securing the site, GMOインターネット will provide customers with a combination of high-quality GPU infrastructure and BCP capabilities.
