The 3rd KOBE Book Station, an event that turns a station building into a large bookstore, will be held on the 27th at Bellst Suzurandai in Kobe’s Kita Ward, bringing together around 70 new-book bookstores, used-book stores and publishers from Hyogo Prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto and elsewhere.
At the event, titled Book Station, numerous books and self-published ZINEs will be on display, and some vendors will also sell miscellaneous goods and baked goods. The venue is floors 1 to 3 of Bellst Suzurandai, directly connected to Suzurandai Station, with different illustrations for each booth.
A picture-book reading session, “Picture-Book Storytime,” will also be held. The event will be conducted by certified picture-book specialists and others, and is free to attend without a reservation. It will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
