日本国土開発 announced that its subsidiary JDCグリーンエナジー合同会社 will launch a virtual PPA covering 9 newly built agrivoltaic solar power plants in Annaka, Gunma Prefecture, with Dentsu Group as the off-taker and Digital Grid as the retail electricity provider and aggregator. All of the plants are newly built, with a combined AC rated capacity of 445.5kW and expected annual generation of 1,114,383kWh.
Under the initiative, non-fossil certificates attributable to electricity generated by the plants will be provided to Dentsu Group on a long-term basis. Sakaki cultivation will continue beneath the solar panels, combining agriculture and power generation. Supply of the environmental value is expected to begin on 1 January 2027, in line with the policy of the company's Medium-Term Management Plan 2027, which aims to grow its energy business and strengthen its earnings base.
