The TSE Growth Index rebounded sharply for the first time in 3 days, and dip-buying spread across the market. While overseas markets exerted an influence, investor interest remained divided between AI-related stocks and semiconductor stocks.
The TSE Growth Index and TSE Growth Market 250 Index both rebounded sharply today. Although the previous day's movements in US equities had an impact, a modest gain in the Dow provided support for the Tokyo market. Lower long-term interest rates also supported the market, and buying prevailed in the Growth market.
Across the market, 345 stocks rose, 195 fell and 43 were unchanged, highlighting the upward bias. The Growth Market Core Index gained 1.96%, led by higher market-cap stocks.
Among individual stocks, Aiming rose after announcing pre-registration for its new game "HoloLive Mahjong - Holo Jan -"; クリングル rose as expectations for future gains returned after it exceeded its high on the 6th; TWOST rose as buying interest continued following the previous day's limit-up close; and HENNGE rose as its 25-day moving average was seen as downside support. MTG led gains among the higher-market-cap stocks.
The top percentage gainers included ハイブリッドテク, サイバートラスト, TWOST, クリングル, サンバイオ and Aiming, while the top decliners included GRCS, Zenmu, ハンモック, ジィ・シィ企画 and エルテス. These were the key stock movements identified today.
