The general release of Nozawa Onsen Distillery's first single malt, "Barrel Hall Series," has been postponed due to delays in the arrival of packaging materials, and the new release date has not been determined.
Nozawa Onsen Distillery announced that the general release of its first single malt whisky, "Barrel Hall Series," originally scheduled for 6 November 2026, would be postponed. The reason given was that preparations for the release could not be completed because of delays in the arrival of packaging materials procured overseas.
At Whisky Festival 2026 in Tokyo, a limited quantity of products secured in advance for the event is scheduled to be sold in packaging different from that used for regular sales. The product is "Barrel Hall Series," and the event will be held on 6 and 7 November 2026.
The new release date and sales details will be announced through the official website and social media once decided. The company stated that it would review its management systems for materials procurement and production and sales schedules, and work to prevent a recurrence.
Nozawa Onsen Distillery was established in 2022 and has also won international awards for its gin production. In addition to gin, it is currently expanding production of single malt whisky, with a release planned for 2026.
