To mark the 10th anniversary of FamilyMart's expansion into Malaysia, a pop-up store showcasing the latest in Japanese convenience-store culture will be held at Sunway Pyramid. Running from 5 to 9 November 2026, the event will feature a partially recreated area of the flagship store and approximately 30 items, including NIGO-curated products.
FamilyMart will open a pop-up store at Sunway Pyramid, one of Malaysia's leading shopping malls, as part of a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of its expansion into Malaysia. The store will include the first overseas recreation of part of its flagship store. It will operate from 15:00 on 5 November 2026 to 22:00 on 9 November 2026, providing local consumers with an opportunity to experience the latest developments in Japanese convenience-store culture.
In addition to introducing new products such as coffee, the pop-up store will feature an area partially recreating the flagship store, FAMIMA PARK AZABUDAI, and is scheduled to sell approximately 30 items, including NIGO-curated products and the original Convenience Wear brand. The initiative aims to enhance the value of the FamilyMart brand in Malaysia.
The flagship store opened in July this year and recorded its highest-ever sales on its first day. It continues to attract many visitors, nearly half of whom are foreign tourists, and is regarded as providing an exciting shopping experience to visitors from Japan and overseas.
Convenience Wear was first expanded to Taiwan and has also been launched in Malaysia. The company plans to expand to Malaysia in 2025 and to Beijing, Shanghai and other markets from 2026 onward. Based on Taiwan's results, where sales in Malaysia are approximately twice the previous year's level, sales are expected to expand across all FamilyMart stores in Malaysia going forward.
