NVIDIA reportedly posted revenue of approximately ¥15.3 trillion and net profit of approximately ¥9.5 trillion for its latest 3-month period, equivalent to monthly profit of around ¥3 trillion. Its growth outlook is also covered.
NVIDIA, which boasts one of the world’s largest market capitalizations, has continued to grow rapidly over the past 4 years, fueled by the spread of generative AI. Revenue for the 3-month period swelled to approximately $96 billion (approximately ¥15.3 trillion), while net profit reached approximately $60 billion (approximately ¥9.5 trillion). Both revenue and profit rose sharply year on year.
A simple calculation based on the figures for this period indicates monthly profit of approximately ¥3 trillion. In its earnings announcement, NVIDIA forecast that revenue would increase by 70% next fiscal year, a projection that has been welcomed by the market. Gross margin is expected to change from 75% this fiscal year to 71–72%, before recovering to 72–73% next year.
Assuming growth continues, some analysts believe that monthly net profit of ¥5 trillion could eventually become realistic. The latest results have also been reported as signaling the emergence of “monster companies” beyond NVIDIA, highlighting the reality of corporate earnings on a global scale.
