GMO Pepabo is strengthening its AI agent-related services and highlighting its high dividend as it advances its medium-term growth strategy following revisions to its first-half fiscal 2026 results and an increase in its dividend.
GMO Pepabo announced its first-half results on 13 August 2026, reporting revenue of ¥5,264 million and operating profit of ¥513 million. The contraction of its financial support business and promotional expenses for new services led to lower revenue and profit on a consolidated basis. Meanwhile, its stock-based businesses drove performance, and price revisions contributed to results in its core domain and rental server business.
The company is expanding its business scope around the domain and rental server services “Lolipop!” and “Muumuu Domain,” the e-commerce support services “Color Me Shop” and “SUZURI,” and the handmade marketplace “minne.” At the same time as its August earnings announcement, it maintained its full-year earnings forecast, and its existing businesses were viewed as solid excluding the factors behind the first-half profit decline.
As part of its medium-term policy, the company set targets of consolidated revenue of ¥12,600 million and consolidated operating profit of ¥1,260 million for the fiscal year ending December 2027, and outlined a plan to raise the proportion of stock-based revenue to 70% or more. Its growth pillars are the expansion of high-priced, corporate-oriented new services, investment in building a community, and the provision of services selected by AI agents. The company is advancing initiatives that are the first of their kind in Japan, including the launch of new features related to Lolipop! and an AI gateway. Its shareholder returns policy is a payout ratio of 65% or higher or DOE of 10% or higher, and it plans to add a special dividend of ¥74 this fiscal year, bringing the annual dividend to ¥167.
As part of its AI-related initiatives, the company has begun offering AI Agent Cloud, Lolipop! Deploy Now, Zero Trust Link and AI Gateway. It is establishing a framework that integrates multiple AI models and expects these initiatives to contribute to earnings from the next fiscal year onward.
