Tokyo Theatres, which is marking its 80th anniversary, will begin showing cinema advertising for its condominium-purchase service at 3 company-operated theaters from 6 November, on a rolling basis. The advertisements address issues involving inherited condominiums and vacant homes, and the screenings will be publicized through the company’s PR Wire distribution.
From 6 November 2026, Tokyo Theatres plans to begin showing cinema advertising for its direct condominium-purchase service at the 3 theaters it operates: Theatre Shinjuku, Kineka Omori and Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho. Screening periods differ by theater, and screenings will begin on a rolling basis from the same day.
Founded in 1946, the company currently operates movie theaters and businesses in the food service and real estate sectors. The cinema advertising is intended to inform people facing real estate issues about the option of selling directly to a buyer through the familiar setting of a movie theater.
In its real estate business, the company handles the entire process for older condominiums, from direct purchase through renovation and resale. In the past, it has explained the burden of management fees and taxes on inherited condominiums and vacant homes, and proposed a way to sell without clearing out or renovating the interior.
The latest announcement also provided figures such as the number of purchases and average building age, indicating the company’s track record in condominium purchases. Theatre says it will continue pursuing the creation of new value through the effective use of existing housing.
