Toys"R"Us launched a Christmas sale using the expertise of PPIH, the parent company of Don Quijote. Approximately 40 products are being sold at discounts of up to 80%, and a Santa hold service has been launched.
Toys"R"Us launched a campaign for the Christmas shopping season. Unlike previous years, it is the first major seasonal sales campaign since Toys"R"Us came under the umbrella of Pan Pacific International Holdings (PPIH), which operates Don Quijote. The company aims to grow sales by expanding its range of sale products and increasing the number of products displayed.
This year's campaign offers approximately 40 products, including Anpanman toys, Tamagotchi and LEGO, at discounts of up to 80% through 19 November. It has also launched a Santa hold service, under which products purchased in stores will be held there until 25 December. Events will also be held at stores nationwide for children of elementary-school age and younger, allowing them to take part in a candy-grabbing activity by writing their wishes on a card.
The company indicated plans to change its shelf layouts and triple the number of products it carries.
