Production and shipment of “Umami Sauce” for sauce katsudon, which had been made at restaurants in Komagane and Miyada, ended at the end of July.
Yomeishu Seizo, the seller based in Komagane, said it withdrew from the business as part of a business reorganization accompanying its becoming a subsidiary of Tsumura.
The sauce had long been sold to the public as a local specialty of Komagane and had been provided for more than 30 years.
