Home Depot has provided its sales and profit outlook through 2029, with EPS expected to remain broadly flat or post only modest growth. The focus will be on how far the integration of SRS and productivity gains from AI can support profitability amid headwinds in the housing market.
From fiscal 2026 onward, Home Depot plans to improve long-term profitability by integrating SRS and its logistics assets while strengthening its distribution business for professional customers. The weak domestic and overseas housing markets and a decline in large-scale projects are expected to weigh on the business in the short term, alongside lower tariff refunds and cost inflation. However, the shift in its business structure is expected to support durable growth.
According to analyst forecasts, 2029 revenue is expected to reach $188.7 billion, profit $17.4 billion and EPS $17.58. The forecasts assume that profit margins will rise from the current 8.4% to 9.2% in three years, with the pro ecosystem and distribution optimization expected to support profit growth.
The current share price is approximately $299.98, while the consensus target price is around $377.19, with the most optimistic estimate at $425.00 and the most conservative at $310.00. Relative to current levels, the market appears to be assigning long-term value to the stock’s upside potential.
