Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus and Hon Hai announced that their new bus-focused company, FUSO BUS, will commence operations on 2 November 2026. The two companies will each hold a 50% stake, with Kora Katsuto (高羅 克人) expected to become president and Seki Jun (関 潤) and others expected to serve as part-time directors. The company will use the production facility in Toyama.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus and Hon Hai Precision Industry announced that they had formally agreed on the commencement date and executive structure for FUSO BUS, the new bus manufacturer they are jointly establishing. Operations are scheduled to commence on 2 November 2026, with each company holding a 50% stake.
FUSO BUS will develop, manufacture, sell and service internal-combustion-engine buses and ZEV buses for domestic and international markets. It plans to use the existing Mitsubishi Fuso Bus Manufacturing facility as its production base.
The executive structure is expected to include Kora Katsuto (高羅 克人) as Representative Director, President and CEO, and Yamamoto Junichi (山本 順一) as General Manager of the Financial Management Division and CFO. The part-time directors will include 3 representatives from Hon Hai, including Seki Jun (関 潤), and 2 from Mitsubishi Fuso.
