日本エマージェンシーアシスタンス announced its consolidated results for the first half of the fiscal year ending December 2026. Revenue was approximately ¥1,965 million and operating profit was approximately ¥100 million, with the Medical Assistance business driving higher revenue and profit.
日本エマージェンシーアシスタンス reported results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026. Revenue rose 8.2% year on year to ¥1,965 million, operating profit increased 167.8% to approximately ¥100 million, ordinary profit rose 158.6% to ¥110 million, and interim net income attributable to owners of the parent increased 80.8% to ¥78 million. Revenue reached nearly 50% of the full-year forecast, while profit at each stage exceeded 50%, indicating steady progress.
The core Medical Assistance business recorded higher revenue year on year, while segment profit came to ¥335 million, driving overall revenue and profit growth. New contracts from major overseas non-life insurers are contributing in the current fiscal year following the start of operations in November 2025, after the Japanese-language support structure at multiple locations in Asia, Europe and the United States was highly evaluated. Fee revisions for corporate contracts were intended to cover rising costs, and have resulted in almost no contract cancellations or transfers to other companies.
Revenue in the Life Assistance business edged up from the previous fiscal year, while segment profit declined. The decrease was due to implementation costs associated with the renewal of its telephone system, which now incorporates AI. Certification requirements and capital investment limit the number of eligible operators, but the company expects its stronger differentiation to improve its ability to win business and plans to expand the new system into the Medical Assistance business as well.
The Public Sector business continues to generate stable revenue from annual contracts to operate a wide-area disaster and emergency medical information system. In April 2026, a function for monitoring medical equipment inventory levels was incorporated into an additional contract. The corporate app “new EAJ Members,” scheduled for release in December 2026, is being developed using AI to contain costs, and further expansion is expected.
The full-year consolidated earnings forecast remains unchanged. Revenue is projected at ¥4 billion, operating profit at ¥200 million, ordinary profit at ¥200 million, and net income attributable to owners of the parent at ¥140 million. The company plans to maintain shareholder returns by targeting a dividend payout ratio of 20% to 30%; the dividend per share has not yet been determined.
