Sustainable Lab conducted data analysis related to PERSOL HOLDINGS’ human capital management, examining employee engagement survey results from fiscal 2021 through fiscal 2024 using machine learning and explainable AI. The analysis confirmed that job evaluation has a certain degree of explanatory power for the sales growth rate.
As part of the PERSOL Group’s human capital management initiatives, Sustainable Lab conducted an analysis using data to examine the relationship between employee engagement and business growth. The analysis was intended to explore the relationship between individual engagement factors and drivers of business growth using machine learning and explainable AI.
The analysis used employee engagement survey results from the PERSOL Group for fiscal 2021 through fiscal 2024. It assessed the explanatory power of engagement-related items after taking business structure factors, including the employee growth rate, into account.
One key finding was that “job evaluation,” which reflects employees’ recognition that their work contributes to improving people’s lives, was consistently identified as an important factor in relation to the sales growth rate. The findings also suggested that the importance of other factors may vary depending on differences in company size and business phase.
The analysis does not directly prove a causal relationship and is positioned as a first step toward more deeply examining the link between human capital initiatives and business results. Further ongoing data analysis is expected to provide more concrete insight into the connection between engagement and business growth.
