KGモーターズ’ one-person ultra-compact EV “mibot” has signed a basic agreement for a business alliance with Adtech, advancing its mass-production platform and SDV capabilities.
KGモーターズ announced that it has signed a basic agreement for a business alliance concerning its “mibot” business with Adtech, a next-generation mobility company. Against the backdrop of an equity investment by its parent company, AKIBAホールディングス, it will establish systems for developing and manufacturing in-vehicle control boards and supplying cloud infrastructure equipment, with the aim of stabilizing its mass-production system. This is expected to strengthen the foundation for mibot’s product quality and data connectivity.
mibot uses an all-weather cabin with doors and air conditioning as standard equipment, and has rear luggage space with a maximum payload capacity of 45 kg. Charging supports standard charging under the J1772 standard, with a broad range of charging equipment from household 100 V to 200 V available.
The powertrain uses proprietary VCU-based output control to achieve a top speed of 60 km/h and a range of 100 km under constant-speed driving conditions at 30 km/h. It also adopts an SDV architecture that supports wireless software updates via OTA, allowing control programs to be updated continuously after delivery and enabling improvements to functionality and operability.
The lineup comprises 5 colors and adopts a design inspired by traditional Japanese colors. It features a retro-pop exterior and a futuristic front-to-rear symmetrical design, including the bright yellow “Himawari.”
