Hong Kong investment fund Oasis Management pointed out that the approval rate for the proposal to reappoint the president of クスリのアオキホールディングス was the lowest on record. The fund’s comments on growing shareholder concerns and improving corporate value going forward have emerged.
Following the general meeting held on the 19th, Oasis Management, the Hong Kong investment fund and the company’s largest shareholder, issued a statement on the 25th. The fund noted that the approval rate for the reappointment proposal was the lowest since the president took office, and expressed the view that shareholder concerns about corporate governance were spreading.
The statement said that Aoki should seek to improve corporate value as a responsible shareholder through shareholder derivative lawsuits and dialogue, including by pursuing accountability from the Aoki family.
