The Nikkei 225 fell sharply this week on concerns over the Middle East and higher interest rates, as profit-taking spread across the market.
Against this backdrop, 80 stocks reached new all-time highs since listing. Asahi Intecc projected a 15% increase in operating profit for the current fiscal year, while Citizen Watch raised its earnings and dividend forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2027. NYK Line and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha also reached new highs, supported by their profit outlooks for the current fiscal year.
Other stocks, including Fuji Oil and Yamaha Motor, continued to reach new all-time highs since listing after doing so last week. By sector, stocks reached new highs across a broad range of industries, including wholesale trade, banking, securities and commodity futures, and marine transportation.
