アイディオット has obtained a patent for technology that uses data to verify the optimal placement of logistics hubs. Using hub and shipment data, the technology simulates hub placements that minimize transport ton-kilometers and visualizes the results on a geomap.
株式会社アイディオット announced that it obtained Patent No. 7917894, dated 1 September 2026, for its proprietary technology for simulating logistics hub placement. The patent holder is the company, and the title of the invention is “Logistics hub placement simulation system, logistics hub placement simulation method, and computer program.”
The invention is a technology that uses logistics hub data and shipment data to simulate hub placements that minimize transport ton-kilometers, taking into account the distance traveled from hubs to shipment destinations. It also displays the simulation results as hub icons on a geomap and visualizes the hubs and shipment destinations as delivery routes.
Logistics networks require numerous decisions regarding the establishment, consolidation, reorganization and relocation of hubs, and these decisions have often depended on experience and individual circumstances. By using data to digitally reproduce and analyze a network based on actual shipment data, the technology aims to enable quantitative analysis.
Going forward, the company aims to expand the technology’s use to support logistics hub placement decisions and achieve data-driven logistics management in cooperation with services such as ADT (Aidiot Digital Twin).
