CONNECTION, a business information and community site for Malaysia, has been fully redesigned, adding new features including an appointment-scheduling desk, consultation services with the administrative office and specialists, and a members’ message board.
CONNECTION, a site for Japanese-affiliated companies and business professionals operating in Malaysia, has been fully redesigned while enhancing its existing news and report functions. The new site is designed around “connecting,” “seeking advice” and “turning connections into business meetings,” with the aim of creating regular opportunities for online interaction, consultation and business discussions.
New features include a members-only search function for a corporate database covering approximately 1,300 Japanese-affiliated companies and local companies, requests for appointment scheduling through the administrative office, an AI-supported consultation desk, and a members’ message board that allows anonymous posts. The site has also introduced comparative displays and dashboard functions for ASEAN economic data, as well as cross-site searches of articles and reports, with the aim of creating business opportunities in addition to providing information.
Going forward, the site plans to strengthen its matching functions based on usage of the message board and appointment scheduling services, and to expand the information listed in its database, providing greater support for members’ business opportunities. The shift of interactions that had centered on face-to-face meetings online is cited in its PR materials as a factor behind the full redesign.
