COSEL, which manufactures switching power supplies for industrial equipment, surged on the morning of the 18th. The company raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2027, attracting buying interest. The closing price was ¥1,371, up ¥51 from the previous day.
Under the new forecast, revenue was raised from ¥28.875 billion to ¥31.8 billion, representing expected year-on-year growth of 27.0%. The operating result was revised to a forecast profit, compared with a loss in the previous fiscal year.
The upward revision reflects first-quarter results for June-August 2026 that exceeded the initial forecast, increased demand related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment, product price revisions, and the effect of expanded sales of new products.
