In January this year, Zensho Holdings founder and late Chairman Ogawa Kentaro (小川 賢太郎) reportedly gave his “final talk” to employees. He spoke about the company’s purpose and the realization of its distant goals.
The talk focused on how to make the ambitious philosophy of “eradicating hunger and poverty worldwide” a personal commitment for each employee, calling on every employee to take action on global issues.
The company reportedly set a scale of ¥500 trillion in revenue as the target for its meetings, with the aim of encouraging internal initiatives as a path toward realizing its philosophy.
