Morishita Jintan is refreshing the name of the south building at its Shiga Plant and constructing a new automated line, while strengthening quality governance and building a stable supply system toward integrated operation of its 3 sites: the Shiga Plant, Osaka Techno Center and former MJ Shiga.
Morishita Jintan announced that it had refreshed the name of the site representing the coordination among its 3 locations to “Shiga Plant South Building.” The company plans to deepen coordination between the Shiga Plant, including former MJ Shiga, and the Osaka Techno Center, and move fully toward integrated operation.
The new line is intended to strengthen quality governance in capsule manufacturing, and the company is moving ahead with the introduction of a manufacturing line capable of handling medium-sized lots. Through capital investment, including expansions made during the Showa era, it aims to establish a stable supply system.
To promote automation and labor saving, the company will implement automated material handling at the Shiga Plant South Building and plans to introduce MES and SCADA. This is intended to ensure accurate management of manufacturing data and reduce human error.
Looking ahead, the company aims to solidify its manufacturing base and establish a system capable of maintaining a stable supply of products across both its solutions and consumer businesses.
