Payment services provided by Infcurion and Sumitomo Mitsui Card have begun supporting MCP, enabling integration with AI agents. Through a remote MCP server, users can autonomously perform tasks such as uploading invoices and scheduling payments.
Invoice Card Payments Powered by Winvoice, provided by Infcurion and Sumitomo Mitsui Card, now supports MCP, the global standard protocol for integrating with AI agents. This is expected to allow users to autonomously perform accounting tasks such as uploading invoices and scheduling payments through conversations with AI.
Against a backdrop of a worsening shortage of back-office personnel resulting from Japan’s declining birthrate and ageing population, the use of AI agents is accelerating business process automation. MCP became established as an industry standard in 2026, and Infcurion is advancing the development of open financial infrastructure as it marks its 20th anniversary.
Under the new MCP support, the service integrates with AI agents through a remote MCP server, making cross-platform integration with accounting software and other systems technically possible in the future. The system retains a design in which final payment approval is made by a person, while reducing the burden of data entry and maintaining security.
Winvoice is a platform that provides one-stop services for invoice card payment-related operations. This MCP support is the first phase of the partner rollout following initial implementation at a group company. Infcurion plans to continue broadly promoting business transformation using AI agents.
