ムサシ revised its forecast for consolidated net profit for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2027 up 13x, from ¥20 million to ¥290 million. It also raised its full-year net profit forecast from ¥390 million to ¥580 million.
ムサシ announced an earnings revision after the market close on 27 October, sharply raising its consolidated net profit forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year from ¥20 million to ¥290 million. Net profit was ¥1.27 billion in the same period of the previous year. The revision reflects solid first-half sales, while the second-half outlook also includes new factors.
The full-year consolidated net profit forecast was also revised up 50.6%, from ¥390 million to ¥580 million, narrowing the expected year-on-year decline. Full-year net profit was ¥2.8 billion in the previous year.
The main factors behind the revision were solid sales of industrial inspection equipment, commercial filtration filters and LTO tape, despite sluggish sales of document digitalisation services, printing equipment and currency-processing machines. On the profit side, the earlier-than-planned recognition of revenue related to standardisation measures for election systems also contributed to the revision of the full-year outlook.
For the current fiscal year's non-consolidated results, revenue is expected to fall below the previous forecast, while ordinary profit is expected to exceed it due to factors boosting earnings. Announcement date: 2026-10-27.
