Yaskawa Electric raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the full fiscal year ending February 2027 from the previous ¥47.0 billion to ¥47.5 billion. This is above the IBES consensus estimate, with an average forecast of ¥44.8 billion.
Meanwhile, the full-year operating profit forecast was cut from the previous ¥60.0 billion to ¥57.5 billion. The company explained that the revision incorporates the impact of migrating its core systems while factoring in higher revenue from the weaker yen. It said that operating profit declined in the interim period, while orders continued to trend upward.
Net profit for the interim period from March to August 2026 was ¥18.9 billion, up 4.1% year on year. Sales in the motion control business contributed, but profit in the robotics business fell approximately 43.3% year on year, while overall operating profit declined 5.5%.
Against the backdrop of rising order backlogs, the company indicated that it plans to accelerate production from the second half through the next fiscal year and improve earnings.
