Taisei Corporation is shifting away from its long-standing debt-free management policy and actively pursuing financing for growth investments. Cash and deposits fell significantly between March 2023 and March 2026, while interest-bearing debt reportedly doubled in 3 years.
Taisei Corporation has revised its medium-term plan of maintaining a substantially debt-free balance sheet and shifted to a policy of actively raising the funds needed for growth investments by leveraging its creditworthiness.
Cash and deposits declined from ¥415.9 billion to ¥278.3 billion between March 2023 and March 2026. Interest-bearing debt, meanwhile, is reportedly increasing.
This move is viewed as a shift away from debt-free financing and is said to indicate a more proactive approach to financial management.
