多木化学 announced plans to expand production facilities for the PAC700A water treatment chemical at its head office plant in Kakogawa, Hyogo Prefecture. The investment is approximately ¥3 billion, with completion scheduled for July 2028.
多木化学 has decided to add production facilities for PAC700A, a water treatment chemical and ultra-high-basicity polyaluminum chloride, at its head office plant in Kakogawa, Hyogo Prefecture. Completion of the new facilities is targeted for July 2028, with the investment estimated at approximately ¥3 billion.
PAC700A is said to offer superior coagulation performance compared with conventional products. It is described as a high-performance product that provides economic benefits, including reduced chemical usage and lower sludge generation, while also helping address deteriorating raw water quality associated with climate change and supporting the stable operation of water treatment facilities.
To meet growing demand, primarily in the Kinki, Chugoku-Shikoku and Tokai regions, the plan is to increase annual production capacity by approximately 40,000 tonnes, bringing it to roughly double the current level.
