WILL GROUP's consolidated subsidiary WILL OF CONSTRUCTION has launched a project with PLUS.1 and Daiwa House Industry to develop a BIM skills matrix. The specific scope of application and implementation timeline are expected to be disclosed in future announcements.
WILL GROUP has launched a joint project centred on its consolidated subsidiary WILL OF CONSTRUCTION and selected PLUS.1 and Daiwa House Industry as its partners. The project aims to establish a platform for assessing and utilising skills related to BIM (Building Information Modeling), as well as a framework for developing the talent needed to support the digitalisation of design and construction.
As part of the joint initiative, the three companies will begin creating a matrix that enables BIM skills to be assessed and compared systematically. The matrix is intended to organise BIM skill levels, areas of application and requirements for each stage of operations, with the aim of improving its applicability to on-site work. This is expected to improve the efficiency of project design and construction processes and optimise personnel allocation.
Details such as future progress, specific operating methods and the timing of any expansion of the scope of application will require further disclosure by the companies. Following the official announcement through Nikkei Information DIGITAL, the related technical requirements and operating model are expected to be disclosed.
