フォーシーズHD has announced in an IR interview its policy of pursuing sustainable growth centered on beauty, health and relaxation. The interview covers the company’s history, segment changes, specific measures to strengthen e-commerce, and its policies on overseas expansion and M&A. It also discusses future growth areas and the role of hygiene consulting.
フォーシーズHD operates direct-to-consumer sales, wholesale, retail and hygiene consulting businesses under the themes of beauty, health and relaxation, with direct-to-consumer sales as its core business. Its predecessor was サイトデザイン株式会社, a website production company, and a new company was established through a share transfer in 2003. The company name was changed to its current name in December 2021. Tendo Yoshimi (天童淑巳), the President and Representative Director, assumed the position in December 2019 and has since promoted e-commerce initiatives and the use of data. The company’s overall business structure has evolved into its current configuration. This includes the impact of COVID-19 and the shift away from its former reliance on telemarketing.
The business segments are direct-to-consumer sales, wholesale, retail and hygiene consulting, for a total of 4. The direct-to-consumer business operates brands including フェヴリナ and ファインビジュアル, while the wholesale business serves drugstores and other retailers. The retail business includes Aroma Bloom, and the hygiene consulting business provides hygiene certification support. Direct-to-consumer sales and wholesale each generate profits exceeding ¥100 million, while retail and hygiene consulting have low profitability. The company is strengthening e-commerce and has accumulated customer data on more than 40,000 customers. It also made iiy a subsidiary in January 2023 to strengthen its e-commerce business.
The company emphasizes overseas expansion as part of its medium- to long-term growth strategy. It expects to capture demand for Japanese products, particularly in Southeast Asia, and views the weaker yen as a tailwind. It also plans to expand into new business areas through M&A. Regarding the growth potential of hygiene consulting, the company considers improving its competitiveness in international markets through the acquisition of HACCP certification important, and positions the business as a key driver of future growth.
