井筒屋 donated ¥1,200,000 in disaster relief funds for the Kyushu region, combining employee and customer donations with a portion of sales. The full amount will be provided to Kumamoto Prefecture’s Disaster Relief Donation Allocation Committee.
On 10 September, 井筒屋 donated ¥1,200,000 as “2026 Kumamoto Earthquake Disaster Relief Donations.” The funds comprised employee donations, in-store customer donations and a portion of sales from the “2nd Great Kyushu Exhibition,” held to commemorate 90 years since 井筒屋 opened.
The donated funds are intended to support the livelihoods of people in the disaster-affected areas and will be provided in full to the Disaster Relief Donation Allocation Committee established by Kumamoto Prefecture. 井筒屋 expressed its gratitude for the cooperation.
