Tachikawa City, in cooperation with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Tokyo, will open an overseas business consultation service desk for small and medium-sized businesses seeking support for overseas expansion. The desk will be established as the Tachikawa location of JETRO Tokyo’s overseas expansion support service, with specialists providing consultations on overseas expansion.
The desk will be located in the Business Support Corner on the 2nd floor of Tachikawa City Central Library, and consultations are scheduled to begin on 30 September. It will operate every Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 17:00, while the Hachioji location will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The agreement signing ceremony will be held at 15:30 on 17 September in the mayor’s office at Tachikawa City Hall, and the opening commemorative seminar will be held from 15:00 to 16:40 on 13 November at the Tachikawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The purpose of establishing the desk is to enhance support for local businesses, including the provision of information on overseas expansion and assistance with expanding sales channels.
Going forward, the city will step up publicity efforts with the aim of making more businesses aware of the service desk. It plans to promote the provision of information on overseas expansion through the agreement signing ceremony and opening seminar.
