DAIICHI CO.,LTD., headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, produced the official staff uniforms for GREEN×EXPO 2027, hosted by the Japan Association for the 2027 International Horticultural Exposition. The design expresses “a landscape of happiness spreading on the wind,” combining floral prints with panel lines inspired by the flow of the wind.
The materials are biodegradable and blend plant-derived polylactic acid from sources such as corn and sugarcane with biodegradable polyester. Their characteristics include decomposition by microorganisms and a return to nature through appropriate composting, as well as antibacterial properties, combining environmental considerations with staff comfort.
The uniforms feature compact collars, concealed button plackets and a pocket on the left chest for small items and cards, with attention also given to practical convenience.
As a member of Team P-FACTS, DAIICHI CO.,LTD. plans to contribute to a social demonstration project for resource circulation through the collection and composting of textile products, and will be involved in the planning, production, collection and recycling of the uniforms.
The official name, dates, venue and theme of GREEN×EXPO 2027 are based on official information.
