Alongside the use of AI for road inspections and the promotion of disaster-resistant paving, development of a new base in Tsukubamirai City is also under way.
ニチレキグループ is a chemicals manufacturer that handles the research and development of road paving materials as well as construction on an integrated basis, and boasts one of the leading domestic market shares in asphalt emulsion and modified asphalt. More than 80 years after its founding, it has expanded its business alongside the widespread adoption of paved roads.
In 2024, it transitioned to a holding company structure, with the holding company responsible for formulating strategy and making decisions for the group as a whole, while group companies in various regions handle the manufacture and sale of materials as well as inspections and construction.
The “seed-sowing spirit” championed by founder Ikeda Eiichi (池田 英一) continues to be passed down as a fundamental principle. The current representative, Obata Manabu (小幡 学), has reaffirmed the significance of continuing to prepare for future generations and develop new products.
