Miyashiro is a nature-rich town in eastern Saitama Prefecture, at the junction of the Tobu Nikko and Isesaki lines. The area around the station is home to MUJI, Tobu Store and other shops, while the surrounding area has a range of places to enjoy nature and architecture. Shinshukan is a landmark whose grounds are freely accessible, and the feature introduces its distinctive architectural design, created with the aim of building a structure unlike any other in the world. The local elementary school was also designed by the same design group, and its features can be viewed from the sidewalk along the sightseeing route.
Miyashiro's attractions extend from the area around the station toward Atarashii Mura, including nature spots such as the trees surrounding Kasahara Regulating Reservoir and the Miyashiro Town Medical Herb Garden, as well as an explanation of the Hottsuke rice paddies, a symbol of the town's agricultural development. Medicinal plants are grown in gardens managed by Atarashii Mura, where visitors can enjoy a walk amid seasonal scenery. The feature also notes that a series of spots linking nature and everyday life lies about 1 km from the station.
Miyashiro's dining spots include ici, public coffee, TiTi Cafe and ROCCO Yokocho, comprising the ROCCO, ROCCO+ and Hanare shops. The feature notes that they offer dishes made with locally grown vegetables, bread and café menus. Nearby experiential attractions are also introduced, including Night ZOO, where visitors can observe animals at night, and グランフィルリゾーツ東武.
The area is also home to facilities where visitors can experience industrial technology and authentic bread, including the Nippon Institute of Technology Museum of Industrial Technology and the German bakery Amflus. Together, they convey Miyashiro's appeal through a combination of nature and food.
