Euglena announced its injectable microneedle serum, CONC Wrinkle Injection Gen2, at an online launch event. The product contains 3 types of hyaluronic acid, high-molecular-weight, low-molecular-weight and balloon hyaluronic acid, at 200% of the previous product's level, and newly incorporates type III collagen.
The announced Gen2 retains the basic formulation of the previous product while revising its ingredients and formulation design, combining high-molecular-weight, low-molecular-weight and balloon hyaluronic acid at 200% of the previous product's level. It also newly incorporates type III collagen and uses the proprietary ingredient “Cerament” in nanoliposome form.
The event featured dermatologist Takako (貴子) in a talk session focused on caring for the overall appearance of the face. The discussion highlighted the importance of daily at-home care and the view that, in addition to the ingredients themselves, the technology used to deliver them is becoming increasingly important.
The product is a serum for the eye and mouth areas, with a capacity of 2.5 mL. It is expected to provide approximately 1 month's supply when used with 15 presses per day, and is priced at ¥6,596 (including tax). Microneedle technology delivers the active ingredients to the stratum corneum and helps make fine lines caused by loss of firmness and dryness less noticeable.
The product has been well received for its improved overall usability during application and its ease of incorporating into everyday care.
