Against the backdrop of VMware’s licensing changes, Cybertrust Japan Co.,Ltd. will host a webinar featuring NTT DATA’s Prossione Virtualization. The webinar will introduce a design approach for reducing long-term costs, along with examples achieving a 60% reduction in effort and 8 years of support.
Against the backdrop of changes to VMware’s licensing structure, more companies are considering where to migrate their virtualization platforms. This seminar explores the challenges facing IT departments, highlighting the importance of comparing not only license costs but also long-term operating and maintenance costs when selecting a virtualization platform.
The seminar will feature Prossione Virtualization, a KVM-based virtualization platform developed by NTT DATA. It will introduce features including OS optimization, tools supporting migration from existing environments, centralized GUI management of virtual machines, storage and networks, 8 years of long-term support, and Japanese-language support.
Examples will be presented of reducing design and implementation effort by approximately 60% and limiting implementation costs to one-eighth of those for the previous environment. The seminar will also explain the key points for achieving stable long-term operation through screen images and demonstrations.
The event will be held on 13 November 2026 (Friday), from 15:00 to 16:00, in a free-to-attend Zoom webinar. It will be hosted by Cybertrust Japan Co.,Ltd. and NTT DATA, with Majisemi providing cooperation. Details on registration and other information will be provided separately by email.
