On 30 September 2026, NEC Corporation began offering ArcFM in the Japanese market in cooperation with Schneider Electric. It also became the first Japanese company to be certified as an SI partner for ArcFM.
NEC Corporation has begun offering EcoStruxure ArcFM, an infrastructure management solution for power and telecommunications operators, in Japan through its partnership with Schneider Electric. NEC became the first Japanese company to be certified as an SI partner for ArcFM.
ArcFM visualises and centrally manages asset information such as utility poles, power lines and transformers on a geographic information system. Built on ArcGIS Utility Network and compliant with international standard data models, it enables data integration with external systems. NEC will handle system development tailored to business processes in Japan.
The solution enables more intuitive map-based infrastructure management and supports the development of digital workflows, including disaster recovery planning and optimisation of infrastructure replacement schedules. Future plans under consideration include developing functions for the Japanese market and expanding into other utility sectors, such as gas and water.
